WHITE PAPER: Post Crisis: e-Skills Are Needed to Drive Europe's Innovation Society
This study, commissioned by Microsoft, is based on a survey of 1,370 organizations across the EU as well as in-depth interviews with almost 50 Microsoft business and training partners to explore the impact of the economic situation on key ICT skills issues and analyze the trend of digital competencies required for jobs of the future.

The e-Skills ILB leads the ICT sector’s contribution to the development and implementation of a long term e-skills and digital literacy agenda in Europe.The e-Skills ILB works in partnership with public authorities across Europe, other industry sectors, SME's and all relevant stakeholders, building upon the European Commission recommendations and other reference initiatives on e-skills.

The European e-Skills Career Portal project raises public awareness of the important role of non-formal training > and educational channels to provide market-relevant ICT skills through multi-stakeholder partnerships, to promote their skills’ programmes, career options and education programmes and tools, and provide an overview of cross-industry skills; enable them to promote and/or sponsor specific initiatives within the Portal community.

> DG Enterprise and Industry- eSkills 
The DG Enterprise and Industry website aims to disseminate information on all EU policies, actions and initiatives promoting economic growth and development, with a view to strengthening the competitiveness of EU enterprises.This website is developed and managed by the European Commission's Directorate General for Enterprise and Industry.The website contains  up-to-date coverage of EU enterprise policies, specific pages covering the industry sectors, and other news, events, speeches.

> Microsoft Unlimited Potential
The Community Technology Skills Program—in partnership with governments, nonprofits, and nongovernmental organizations—promotes IT skills training programs that enable young people and adults to realize their full potential. 

> Nongovernmental Organization Capacity Building
Microsoft is working with nonprofit and nongovernmental organizations to help them address their technology needs. To enable organizations to extend their outreach and benefit more people, Microsoft provides the organizations with the resources that they need to operate more efficiently and cost-effectively.

> Microsoft Software Donation program 
The Microsoft Software Donation program includes community software donations, strategic grants to use ICT at a deeper level, and TechSoup Global, a partner program that enables nongovernmental organizations to seek software donations.

> Community Microsoft Authorized Refurbisher (MAR)
The Community Microsoft Authorized Refurbisher (MAR) program provides partner refurbishing companies with affordable Microsoft software to install on second-life personal computers that are donated to schools, nongovernmental organizations, and charities.  

European Alliance on Skills for Employability 
The main goal of the Alliance is to help better co-ordinate industry and community investments, services and other offerings, dialogue and engagement with NGOs and public authorities in a way that enhances the positive impact of ICT literacy and professional training on employability prospects of the young, the disabled, older workers and other unemployed or under-employed people throughout the European Union

Partnerships for Growth portal is a gateway to growth, jobs, and innovation related initiatives in Europe. The portal aims to provide an inspiration framework for multi-stakeholder collaboration between government, industry, associations, and NGOs in Europe. Partnerships or Growth portal is sponsored by Microsoft.

Telecentre.org is a collaborative initiative that connects telecenters, networks, innovators, social investors, and other interested groups who believe that information and communications technology, used locally, strengthens individuals and the communities in which they live.

Certifications are available for most Microsoft technologies and skill levels from business workers to IT professionals, developers, technology trainers, and system architects. Pursuing a certification, provides you with up-to-date, relevant skills that can not only lead to a more fulfilling career, but offer valuable Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) benefits, including access to the MCP member site and a vast, global network of other certified professionals.

 > Microsoft IT Academy
Microsoft IT Academy supports accredited academic institutions to provide students with a premium education on the latest Microsoft technologies through academic education tracks, rigorous Microsoft certification exams, and training for IT-related career opportunities. To date we have established IT Academy agreements with more than 2,000 institutions throughout Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. More than half a million individuals have benefited from this program.
