Microsoft is committed to solving the real-world interoperability challenges of our customers, developers, partners, and independent software providers, through innovative products, community engagement, technology access, and support for technology standards.

> Interoperability and Microsoft: Then and Now
A white paper (PDF) by Mark Lange, Senior Policy Counsel for Microsoft on the link between interoperability and Microsoft. > Interoperability Brochure
Discusses Interoperability's role for governments and companies today who are challenged to do more with less, who are met with rising expectations for better services, and who are expected to respond swiftly to a dynamic world. Organizations depend on information technology to help achieve these goals while enabling work to occur more seamlessly across different platforms, applications and environments.
